It’s been a little while since I’ve shared any freebies with my blog readers, and incase you’ve missed it in my TpT store, I wanted to post them for you here!
The first freebie are some Math Strategies Graphic Organizers that you can use when teaching basic facts of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. What I like about these is that it takes one fact and requires the students to show how to solve the problem using four different strategies. I always require my students to learn various methods of solving problems, but they can choose which to use on a test. By doing this, they can use what works best for them and also provides them another way to check their answers. I also included sheets that you can use if you are unfamiliar with specific strategy, or give it to the students as a “cheat sheet” that they can refer to throughout the year.
My most recent freebie, Sweet Synonyms, contains four pages of synonym practice. The students look in the word bank and find seven words that are synonymous with the word on top of each candy jar. The students will write each word on a piece of candy inside the jar. Once finished, they can choose two different words from the jar and write a sentence that includes them. I also included a blank sheet for you to create some using your own words. It would also be a great way to differentiate and have your students create some for themselves or classmates to solve!
Thanks so much for the freebies. I couldn't leave feedback on tpt, but I wanted you to know how much I like both of these freebies. The organizer for +,-, x, and division is fantastic! I have some small stamps that I"m going to let my students use for their array. They will enjoy this! The synonym packet is great! Thanks again for the freebies!
