I felt a little crafty and decided to put this to good use to create a little project for my kiddos to do for their moms for Mother’s Day. I’m kind of obsessed with purses and bags, so naturally, I decided to figure out how to make a 3D purse that my students can use in place of a gift box to put little items in for their moms. I think that this Mother’s Day Craftivity will be perfect for us to do after we finish our state testing.
I basically spent a whole night using trial and error (and a lot of computer paper and some ink) to create a template for this purse. I’m pretty happy with the results. I asked my husband if he knew what it was and he correctly identified it. WIN!
My students came back from art class a few months ago with small flip books and taught me how they made them. Since they already know how to do this, I created some pages for them to glue into the book to turn it into a card for Mom.
Lastly, I needed to create something that could fit nicely inside the purse, so a customizable coupon book was the perfect idea. These are blank so the students can come up with some ideas that they are positive their mother’s would appreciate.
These are just a few pictures of the final products, which happen to be some of the direction pages in my pack. You will also find all of the templates needed to create the purse, card, and coupon book.
