Is it too soon to start our end of the year countdown? I don’t think it’s ever too soon! With testing now over we have about a month of school left. The weather is slowly starting to become nicer, which means the students’ minds are starting to wander and it’s becoming increasingly more difficult to hold their attention. What makes it even more difficult is my classroom window faces the playground, so we constantly hear the sounds of children playing all day long!
To tell you the truth, my mind is starting to go as well. I’m exhausted from all the test preparation we did and want some activities for the end of the year that are engaging and allow for the students to have the opportunity to reflect and set new goals for the future.
I created this End of the Year Memory Book for the last week of school. I’m hoping this will help springboard some dialogue and help the students relive some of their favorite memories of third grade, especially since they are leaving to go to the middle school building next year for fourth grade.
This memory book contains 20 pages (the autograph page is not included in the preview blow) for the students to draw and write about various aspects of their favorites of the year, their school, teacher, recess, field trip, friends, and more!
I’m really looking forward to seeing what my students remember about their year!
