Thank you to everyone on the TpT blogs for your feedback on this blog. I really do appreciate everyone taking a look at it and letting me know what I can improve on. That being said, if anyone is good with HTML and can help me slow down the picture slideshow on top of my blog, I would really appreciate it! I tried doing it myself, but couldn’t find a line of code that specified timing of the pictures.
I think I’m going back to my bad habits that I developed over the summer. When I began creating a resource, I found it difficult to go to bed until it was finished. This left my husband going to bed at a reasonable hour, and me sitting in the living room until around 3 in the morning. I need to break this habit because I’m going back to school on the 3rd and have to get back to a regular schedule.
Yesterday, I used some blank forest animal templates from Teaching Third in Georgia to create some parts of speech color-by-word activities for my students. I actually have a whole book of them someone on a shelf at school, but most of them are too difficult for my 3rd graders. When I saw that these were available, I snatched them up to create some that were more age appropriate. There are 8 different pictures which include:
Bear – Common Nouns, Proper Nouns, Pronouns
Raccoon – Past Tense Verbs, Present Tense Verbs, Future Tense VerbsSquirrel- Adjectives, Nouns, Adverbs, VerbsBee – Pronouns, Prepositions, ConjunctionsDeer – Verbs, Adverbs, AdjectivesTree – Nouns, Pronouns, Prepositions, VerbsRabbit – Singular Nouns, Plural Nouns, VerbsOwl – Verbs, Conjunctions, Adverbs, Adjectives
In this set, I have both the page that the students will color, and an answer key with what it will look like when it is complete.
Please stop by my store to take a look at it!
